Junior C#/Windows Azure Developer

We are looking for a junior C# developer to join our firm located in the Downtown Denver. We are a Microsoft BizSpark One start-up focused on revolutionizing real-time retail and are highly recognized by The Wall Street Journal, VentureBeat and others. Established in 2011, Digital Folio is the first multi-channel shopping network, powered by the crowd, to provide unbiased real-time pricing and availability across top retailers. Through a unique combination of new domain technology development expertise, cloud-based big data, and consumer app platform development, we work with major brands to revolutionize digital retail competition. While you should bring a background in C# and .NET architecture and development work, we also appreciate Windows Azure experience as well as encourage and support continued learning and training. We are seeking someone who possesses an understanding of modern web and data architecture.

The successful candidate must possess strong communications skills and be able to interact at all levels of the organization from senior executive to developer level.

The candidate must be extremely creative and resourceful in their problem solving while understanding and applying elements of the team's overarching strategic objectives into each project. The ability to handle a variety of tasks and priorities while working effectively with a range of personalities and technical backgrounds, both independently and in team settings is extremely important. This candidate must be a software engineer at heart, while exhibiting more creative flair in their ideas and solutions with innovation and creativity using the latest technologies (e.g., big data and mobile).

This person will have the exciting opportunity to drive development efforts on our Windows Azure Platform as well as a multitude of upcoming client initiatives.

The following are the qualifying requirements for this position:

2-3 years software development experience developing B2C or B2B websites, eCommerce applications and portals using industry web technologies within a multi-tier architecture
At least 1 year with C#/VB and .NET 3.5 or higher. Experience with other OO languages will be considered
- We are generally a .NET shop and have multiple apps deployed using varying .NET technologies.

The following are additional skills we are looking for:

Windows Azure experience is a huge plus
- Our entire platform is run on Windows Azure
- Knowledge of Azure Table Storage or some other NoSQL database
- Knowledge (and use) of some form of MVC/MVVM pattern
General skills
- Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills through cooperative approaches
